Talk & Walk events

Walks for your mind.
Scroll down for this year's group meets around Peterborough & Stamford...
What to expect
Led by me, a qualified psychotherapist and experienced professional hillwalker, these group walks are a safe and confidential space to meet others with a shared love of the outdoors and /or walking.
You will have the chance to talk and share with others if you feel you want to, but also to just listen without judgement. We will all discuss and agree a confidentiality contract at the start.
I will offer guidance for mindfulness and stress relief in nature along the way. There will also be moments of quiet, for reflection or just to de-stress and appreciate the natural surroundings. It's a chance to take a some time for yourself for once!

Ringhaw & Sulehay (near Wansford)

Distance: approx 7km (4.5 miles)
Time: 3 hours approx
Terrain: grassy meadows, woodland paths, nature reserve quarry tracks, quiet country lanes. This time of year can be a bit muddy! There are some very gentle inclines, and a couple of styles to climb over.
Maximum participants: 10
Cost: £12
The Walk

This is a superb 4.5 mile walk. The terrain and views are varied along paths and tracks, with a few gentle inclines. We will head out from Rockingham Forest park to Bedford Purlieus woodland, along a country lane to Sulehay Old Quarry, into Ringhaw through more woodland, and returning to the start across lovely meadows. It’s quite an energetic walk, and being November we will perhaps not make as many longer stops as in summer months.

How to confirm your space

Firstly, please make sure that you are fit and capable to walk 7km / 4.5 miles off road at a reasonable pace.

Spaces are limited so please send me a message and you will receive a welcome email and details of how to pay to confirm your place.

"Walk around the Hambleton Peninsula on Rutland Water for a peaceful escape into nature’s beauty. The circular trail, winds through quiet woodland, open fields, and along the shimmering shoreline of the reservoir. Views across the water reveal sailing boats and distant villages, with birds gliding over the surface and deer sometimes seen at the forest edge. The perfect Christmas escape!" - Jenna, Walk leader & Psychotherapist
